Subject: Re: Ulysses and Season's Greetings

Dear Jean-Pierre,

On my computer screen I have admired the images of your wonderful sand
gardens from solo.com and only wish that I could see them in reality at one
time. As promised, I had a special meditation moment on your Ulysses, and
here is a poem on it. I would be happy if you regarded it suitable for
inclusion in your presentation of Ulysses.

ULYSSES

- An Invitation to a Poetic Journey
in the Eternal Flow of Time
by Sonja Servomaa

Nothing existed before Time
and Time has nothing yet
Stones existed in Space
and Space gathers their solidity.
You say Time is invisible
and Space is invincible
You say Stones are immovable
and Sand is still and silent.
But I say no, lifeless are they not
come, I invite you to Olysses
To a journey in the garden of
the moving stones and dancing sand
To a world of marvels and surprises
of astounding beauty.

With the rhythm of your breath
you become one with the universe
With the strength of your senses
you behold the oneness of the cosmos
Sand and stones
become one with your movements
You become one with the
movements of primeval Life.

Sand with tender ease surrenders
to the touches of your hand
Commanded with the power of
your modern automation.
The Creation thus begins
by ever changing forms of simple nature
Flows of lines, lights and shadows
sihouettes of mountains, rivers
Curves, paths and rounding circles
mandalas of quintessence
Reverberations of quiescence.

Feel the Music of the folding Shapes
Taste the Sound of the gliding Waves
Hear the Transformation of the lofty Spirals
Embrace the Scene of the ever flowing Time
.

-----What do you think?
You can see that I really merged myself into your wonderful world of moving
sand.
Now it is time to wish you Beautiful and Peaceful Christmas and Best of
Success and Happiness for the New Year of 2003.
Kindest regards,
Sonja
