--next--> "cycling apparati", solwayjones gallery, la michael solway and angela jones opened in a new location in la's chinatown with a new show "cycling apparati", featuring work by alice aycock, michael decker, marcel duchamp, jean-pierre hébert, david horvitz, branden koch, dana maiden, dane picard and alan rath. "cycling apparati" addresses notions of lineage, time, movement and mechanism. the exhibition opened september 6 and will be on view through october 18, 2008. i present dynamic views of malevich's piece in "the cycling of red square black square", and two alternating software pieces for wall mounted display, animated renderings of the metagon series.
