die Forelle (1997)
pen and white ink on slate paper, detail 5x3in. within 12.5x9in.

drawings pre-70s

influences: galerie les mages, mondrian show in avignon at palais des papes in 1947, african drawings, klee, bauhaus, turner, wols, michaux.

childhood drawings, liquid drawings. early works. pencils and watercolors on paper, travel sketchbooks, cards, etc... most of these have been discarded or lost or remain stored far away.

so far as composition is concerned, every former school of art can be said to have had a more or less mathematical basis.
