independent artist, algorithmic art: drawings and mixed media since the 70's. cofounded the algorists in 1995. lives in santa barbara since 1985.

awarded a pollock-krasner foundation grant in 2006, a david bermant foundation grant in 2008-9.

community activities: artist in residence at the kavli institute for theoretical physics (kitp) at the university of california in santa barbara (ucsb).

and despite the fact that the basis of this mathematical way of thinking in art is in reason, its dynamic content is able to launch us on astral flights which soar into unknown and still uncharted regions of the imagination.
